A very important stage in preparing for the installation of polyurethane stucco molding is the choice and acquisition of special adhesives. For work, two types of glue are needed: docking and mounting.
Installation glue is also divided into acrylic global glue and adhesion of enhanced fixation on silicone basis (similar to sealant). Silicone -based glue is more elastic and exposed to various errors, and, above all, temperature.
So that after the installation of stucco molding does not have to resort to tedious restoration work, you need to responsibly approach the choice of docking glue.
It is quite difficult to choose glue to the non -professional, since in the retail network there is a huge uniformity of a variety of adhesives. Therefore, when choosing it, the following parameters must be taken into account:
one. Place and temperature at which the installation and further operation of stucco molding will be carried out, as well as humidity. Where the glue will be used: in a heated room or in atmospheric conditions, under what humidity.
2. Type of surfaces for which glue is acquired.
3. Whether or not in the future, the surface will be stained.
four. The operating life guaranteed by the manufacturer.
Polyurethane stucco molding is fastened with glue for docking. Its function consists in turning the docking seams into a monolith as a result of the “melting” of the surface of the parts from polyurethane. In this regard, when cutting the joined parts, it is necessary to take into account the minimum (2 mm) reserve for connecting. For a strong coupling of parts, significant physical efforts are needed at the moment of docking the parts, and the glue layer must completely cover the connected surfaces.
The retail network offers joint glue in tubes of 80 ml (an average of 40 stucco molding meters is enough), and in cylinders for mounting pistols. Such a cylinder is enough for an average of 150 linear meters of stucco molding.
It will depend on the choice of glue for installation for how long and strongly will have to hold the details at the time of gluing.
Glues Soudal “Fixall”, “Europlast” belong to the category of adhesives with super -lobed fixation.
Soudal “Fixall” shows its gluing abilities for one minute, if the details of the stucco moldings have a small width.
Europlast glue can be used both indoors and outside, as it is recommended for use at low temperatures.
You can use other very high -quality glue, which is suitable simultaneously for joining and for the installation of polyurethane stucco molding. Belgian NMC glue and distinguishes it that it becomes elastic when applying a thick layer. It is made on a water -based, has a white color, and after drying it practically “merges” with stucco. At the same time, he does not form film and lends itself to staining.
But the use of any mounting glue does not imply the exclusion of the use of self -tapping screws, especially when installing large -large structures of polyurethane stucco molding.
