When choosing a door for an apartment or a house in the suburbs, a priority is the issue of the quality of the product. It is on the quality that the safety of all property in the house will depend.
Consider the main points that must be taken into account when choosing a metal door.
The thickness of the sheet.
Russian manufacturers, as a rule, use a sheet with a thickness of 2-3 mm, for example, metal doors in Odintsovo. The thickness of imported doors is often 1.5 mm, but their quality has become compensated for by a small thickness.
Number of sheets.
Door sheathing is unilateral or double -sided. The second sheet provides a large hardness of the door. At the same time, this leads to the weight of the door, which in turn increases the load on the canopies. Doors with one sheet can have the necessary rigidity when installing a sufficient amount of stiffener ribs. Such a door has a lighter weight.
Awnings.
It is desirable that they are closed or hidden behind the door leaf. In this case, they cannot be cut off, since access from the outside is blocked to them. It is necessary to install a door that has open (external) awnings if the doors have a system that prevents the possibility of further hacking, even if the canopies are cut off. Such systems include “Antisles” or “continuous” pins.
Locks.
A reliable door should be equipped with two locks that have a different structure. The best option is the cylinder and leaf. It’s good if the locks have protection in the form. A more reliable option if the “crab” system is installed in addition, which includes the pins that are advanced into the holes of the door box.
Door box.
For example, take the entrance doors in the queen. To obtain sufficient stiffness, the door box must be a closed (closed) profile. If it is open, during installation it must be filled with concrete, to give the necessary rigidity. The number of fasteners with one (long) side should reach at least three, and they should be located approximately in the middle part of the opening (in thickness).
Heat and sound insulation.
The space between the stiffeners must be filled with any insulation. The most important thing, at the same time, is to ensure its tight fit to the stiffener ribs. To do this, it will be enough to use the usual ISOVER mineral wool, which will ensure the density of fitting to the door structure with its elasticity.
Doors finish.
In this matter, the buyer must be guided by aesthetic preferences and financial capabilities. Of course, the use of a wood array or MDF of plates for lining the door will not only improve its appearance, but will also improve its sound – and thermal protection. Although this does not affect the reliability of the door.
