When we master a summer cottage, first of all, we need to plan the tracks. It’s nice to come into contact with nature, but at the same time I want to have clean and dry shoes. You also need to think about where it will be possible to park the car. You can of course leave the paths from the land and walk all year round in rubber boots, but still I would like minimal comfort, comfort and aesthetic pleasure from the summer residence.
Materials that can be used to strengthen paths are diverse in properties, degree of wear resistance, appearance and price.
The cheapest and simplest way to strengthen the surface is to fill it with any loose material. It can be: gravel, small gravel, mulch from bark, chopped wood. Gravel paths look especially attractive when they have the wrong shape. Small gravel goes well, similar to the current river, in places diluted with large beautiful stones. Garden paths can be covered with mulch from bark or chopped wood. The paths from such a coating are warm, soft and pleasantly pleasing to the eye with their non -standard. A significant minus of such a material is not durable and requires periodic renewal.
Inexpensive and at the same time attractive materials for the tracks are cobblestones or a botum stone. Of course, when laying such a coating, you will need to work hard, but it will have a special attractiveness. The shape of the stones is round, oval and flat. Put stones on small gravel, solution or sand. Gaps must be filled with substrate material. In some places you can plant low herbs: hernia, a dosage of medicinal, mint or thymeyan. Smaller cobblestones are laid out in the form of mosaics on liquid concrete. Cobblestones or laundry stone can be bought inexpensively in gravel quarries or collected for free on the shores of reservoirs.
For many centuries, roads were wet by burned Argillite. And now the bridge brick produces various colors and shapes. This pleasure is not cheap, but an excuse is a long service life. No need to confuse pavement brick and brick for walls. Bright bricks withstand heavy loads, wear -resistant, well burned, which gives them the opportunity to withstand weather conditions. Geometric combinations made of large bridge brick and small gravel look beautiful.
There are no boundaries for the manifestation of fantasy in the work on laying paths. Materials can be mixed. For example. From large stones, you can create rectilinear contours or rays, and the space between them can be filled with small or irregularly shaped material. Intersperse from ceramics or glazed argillites of various colors look beautiful. Coatings from horizontal cuts of trees look original. Wooden washers of various sizes are laid on the track, the space between them is covered with gravel or chopped wood.
Definitely, the material and appearance of the garden paths is a very important element of garden design and pride of the owner of the cottage.
