It is impossible to imagine an American interior without natural wood, but not from expensive species, and its imitations. Consider other features of the materials that are used in the decoration in this style.
American style floor
In American-style apartments and houses, the floors are covered with wood – parquet, parquet or solid board, mostly in dark colors. As an alternative, it is allowed to use a high-quality laminate with a wood texture, in places of frequent movement, the presence of dirt and moisture, ceramic tiles or artificial stone are laid.
The floor is rarely decorated with carpets or carpet. These can be areas in the living room, by the bed or in the nursery. Modern American interiors prefer heating systems that provide comfort for all occupants instead of using carpets. Lowering the floor level or changing the type of flooring is used for zoning.
